Interlochen Perennial Farm is one of northern Michigan’s premier perennial and hosta growers. The farm is a sprawling, beautifully designed garden set in the serenity of a forest and featuring thousands of premium plants and flowers.
Interlochen Perennial Farm opened 22 years ago and in the decades since owner, Lin Alessio earned a devoted following among local landscapers, serious gardeners, and those who visit who simply want to add a touch of color and texture to their patio or backyard garden.
Interlochen Perennial Farm offers a bevy of perennials ranging from quality coneflowers, daisies, daylilies, and many other flowering plants, to water plants, grasses, ferns, shade plants, annuals and an amazing display of hostas in all shapes, sizes, colors and varieties. We try to keep our prices very reasonable - we just want you to find joy in your garden!
We use custom-made, non-commercial soil and winter our plants outside, creating hardy stock capable of withstanding the region's weather challenges!
A stroll through the garden provides you a chance to see how plants grow and thrive in both sun and shade, an opportunity to tailor your purchases to your unique circumstances.
Want to create a new garden? Let us help. We'll work with you to select plants and design a beautiful garden - large or small - that suits you and your home and grounds.
Alessio grows her plants and knows her plants, so she'll be able to help you fit your choices to your interests and lifestyle. Interlochen Perennial Farms also offers weekly specials and discounts for large purchases.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
The farm is just a short drive off U.S. 31 south of Traverse City in Grand Traverse County, or off J. Maddy Parkway near Interlochen Academy of the Arts
